She played second to last on the main stage and did a fantastic set. The sound was good. My friends and I stood off to the left of the stage -- I could see but only a shallow view -- actually I could see Sinead, the bassist, the keyboards guy, and a bit of the guitar player -- so not too bad. She wore the same outfit as described previously -- plaid shirt, black cargo pants, could not see her shoes.
Overall I would say that last summer was more intense and quiet but this summer she really wailed. I don't know, perhaps it's the bigger venue. She seemed really relaxed & did have her eyes open alot more than last year. She started off with Emperor's New Clothes and I can't be sure of the order of the rest of the set: Thief of My Heart, Fire on Babylon, Jackie, I Am Stretched on Your Grave, Dreaming of the Bones, In This Heart, Last Day of Our Aquaintance and the encore was He Moved Through the Fair. Excellent performance. I was really impressed at how she'd re-arranged songs just since last year. Of course, this was probably because of the different line-up with Davy Spillane and without the Screaming Orphans. She said that it was their last performance with Davy Spillane.
Many people left after Sinead -- some of them (like myself and my friends) were going to see a different closer (Saw Doctors closed the Main Stage, Shane Macgowan closed Stage 2 and the Drovers closed Stage 3) but it seemed like many were leaving the show. I was hoping to see the Chieftains too -- I thought Sinead might have performed a song or two with them but their times were switched and they came on at the same time as another act so I missed them. Oh well.
